Chapters 20-23 The Jungle
I found that I could somewhat relate to these chapters. The family is going through a horribly rough time dealing with Ona's death but is slowly learning how to cope with this. Jurgis is having the most difficult time moving on from this event. His remaining family is encouraging him to get a job and begin to be able to survive on his own and be able to support his child. The chapters also tied into the title of the book because Jurgis ventures out and is in a very rainy forest.

That is good that you related these chapters to yourself. I think that Jurgis did the right thing by going back to work. I think that you could write a little more about how you felt.

ReplyDeleteI am curious as to how you can relate to the charcters. You should include it in your blog but you probably didn't because of your broken keyboard and not enough time. Other wise good job.

yeah brenna, the broken-ness of my keyboard does have an influence upon length because its a major pain to type!!!
